Amazon State-Wise Sales & Stock — See Where Orders Come From and Where Inventory Sits

4.8 / 5 from 6 Amazon sellers

1. Sales vs stock — two different Amazon questions

Sellers searching how to find state wise sales in amazon and how to find state wise stock in amazon usually want both numbers on one screen. They are not the same report.

  • State-wise sales answers: where did the buyer order from? Maharashtra vs Karnataka vs Haryana — units, revenue, returns, and which ASINs sell there.
  • State-wise / warehouse stock answers: where does FBA inventory sit? Ending stock, sellable units, in-transit between fulfilment centres, and units shipped from each hub (BOM, BLR, DEL…).

Mixing them is how brands restock the wrong FC. High Maharashtra sales with empty Bhiwandi stock is a delivery-promise problem, not a “national inventory looks fine” problem. Step-by-step: state-wise sales guide and state-wise stock guide.

2. What Seller Central actually shows

Amazon Seller Central does not give Indian sellers a clean “state-wise sales + stock” dashboard. Business Reports are account or ASIN totals. FBA inventory is by fulfilment centre code, not by state name. Order reports can include ship-to state if you export them — then you live in Excel.

That is why operators build CSVs: one file for geography of demand, another for FC ledger, and neither matches the month the other is looking at. ListingPilot keeps both views in Sales Command Center on the same marketplace calendar.

3. How to find state-wise sales in Amazon

  1. Connect Seller Central (SP-API). Orders carry ship-to geography — that is the sales map, not the FC map.
  2. Open Sales Command Center and choose the State-wise tab.
  3. Read the India (or US / CA / AU) map plus the ranked table: orders, units, revenue, share.
  4. Click a state for top products in that geography. Export CSV when finance wants a file.

This is demand geography. Pair it with the Amazon sales tracker if you also need ASIN-wise revenue and organic vs sponsored split at account level.

4. How to find state-wise stock in Amazon

FBA does not label stock “Maharashtra”. It labels fulfilment centres and airport-style regions (BOM, BLR, DEL, AMD…). Those hubs map to states. Ending stock, sellable, and in-transit live on the warehouse ledger — not on the buyer map.

  1. In Sales Command Center, switch to FBA Warehouse.
  2. Pick the month. KPIs: units shipped, returns, net units, ending stock, in-transit, active FCs, SKUs.
  3. Toggle Region vs FC to roll up hubs or list every warehouse.
  4. Use the warehouse map and table together — share % shows which hubs actually hold the catalogue.

Reorder and days-of-cover still belong in Amazon inventory management. Warehouse view answers “where is it sitting this month?”, not “when do I restock this SKU?”.

5. Sales Command Center walkthrough

One header, three modes: ASIN View, FBA Warehouse, State-wise. ASIN View is catalogue performance. State-wise is where orders come from. FBA Warehouse is the per-FC monthly ledger — shipments, returns and stock.

  • India map on State-wise; FC / region map on Warehouse — same account, different question.
  • Warehouse KPIs include ending stock with sellable subtotal and in-transit between FCs.
  • Top regions chart (units shipped) sits next to the FC table so volume and stock are not two exports.
  • SKU search in Command Center filters the same ledger you already use for restock decisions.
