Amazon Seller Analytics for India: One Dashboard for Sales, Ads, Returns & Payouts

4.8 / 5 from 6 Amazon sellers
In one sentence

ListingPilot is an Amazon seller analytics dashboard for India-first FBA and brand sellers that joins Selling Partner API (SP-API) orders, returns, settlements and inventory with Amazon Ads API spend — so sales, ACOS, ROAS, TACoS, organic vs sponsored share, return rate, settlement payouts, state-wise demand, Listing Quality Score and BSR are reported on one base, per ASIN and per marketplace, from ₹8,999/month.

Seller Central already has a lot of numbers. The problem is where they live: sales and traffic in Business Reports, ad spend in the Amazon Ads console, fees and payouts in payment reports, returns and stock in FBA reports. Every serious question — “is advertising growing this ASIN or just buying its sales?”, “why is the payout lower than the sales?”, “which states should my stock sit closer to?” — needs two or three of those joined first.

This page explains what Amazon seller analytics should cover, what Amazon’s own reports give you (based on Amazon’s public pages, checked 9 October 2026), where the gaps are, and which metrics ListingPilot reports once SP-API and Ads API data sit in one dashboard.

What Amazon seller analytics means

Amazon seller analytics is the reporting layer that answers four questions for every ASIN and marketplace:

  1. What sold? Revenue, units, orders and growth against the previous period.
  2. Why did it sell? Organic vs sponsored sales, ad efficiency (ACOS, ROAS), listing quality and rank.
  3. What did it cost? Ad spend relative to all sales (TACoS), Amazon fees, returns and your product cost.
  4. What was actually paid? Settlement payouts, refunds and anything expected but not received.

A daily view of sales alone is a sales tracker. Seller analytics is the joined view: the same ASIN’s sales, spend, returns and payout side by side, so the numbers agree. If you only need the daily sales view, the Amazon sales tracker page covers that in detail.

What Seller Central Business Reports and Brand Analytics give you — and the gaps

Amazon’s native reports are free, official and the right source for some metrics. The table summarises what each one provides according to Amazon’s own public pages, and what you still have to join yourself to get decision-ready analytics.

Sources (checked 9 October 2026): Amazon’s “Get actionable B2B insights with Amazon business reports” and “5 ways to use Amazon seller dashboards and tools” (sell.amazon.com), the Brand Analytics tool page and blog (sell.amazon.com), the SP-API Analytics Reports reference for the Sales and Traffic report (developer-docs.amazon.com), and the FBA Business Reports help page (sellercentral.amazon.in). Amazon can change these reports at any time.

Where Amazon’s reports are still the best source

Keep Business Reports for sessions, page views, Featured Offer (Buy Box) percentage and unit session percentage — ListingPilot does not report traffic or conversion today. Keep Brand Analytics for search query share, market basket and repeat-purchase data if you are brand-registered. The gaps ListingPilot fills are the ones those reports leave between them.

The gaps that cost sellers money

  • No ad spend next to total sales. Amazon’s Sales and Traffic report has no ad-spend field, so TACoS and organic vs sponsored sales need the Ads console data joined in by hand.
  • No payout next to sales. Ordered product sales are not what reaches your bank. Fees, refunds and reimbursements sit in separate payment reports.
  • Geography and returns in separate files. Customer Shipment Sales carries the destination and FBA Customer Returns carries the reason, but turning them into a state map or a return-rate-by-reason view is a spreadsheet job.
  • One marketplace at a time. Each report is pulled per marketplace, so a seller on amazon.in plus the UAE or US repeats the same work for every store.

Key Amazon seller metrics in ListingPilot

These are the metrics the ListingPilot dashboards report today. Each is built from SP-API data, Amazon Ads API data, or both, and can be viewed per parent ASIN, child ASIN and marketplace.

ACOS, ROAS and TACoS on the same base

ACOS (ad spend ÷ ad-attributed sales) and ROAS come straight from the Amazon Ads API. TACoS divides the same ad spend by total SP-API sales for the same dates and marketplace, which is why the two sources have to be joined. The TACoS tracker explains how to read the trend per ASIN, and the Amazon PPC dashboard goes deeper into campaigns, wasted spend and bid gaps.

Sales, organic share and alerts

Sales Intelligence keeps total, organic and sponsored sales in separate lanes, with organic and sponsored share, AOV, ASP, return rate, settlement amount and BSR trend per ASIN. It also flags products whose sales fell more than 20% against the previous comparable window, SKUs forecast to stock out within 30 days at current velocity, and products with weak organic share. Recommended next steps are suggestions only — nothing is changed in your account without you.

Returns and payouts

The returns view ranks parent and child ASINs by return rate and groups returns by reason, so a quality problem shows up as a pattern rather than a single refund. On the money side, Payments shows gross sales, Amazon fees, refunds and bank deposits with a settlement overview and order-level ledger, and settlement reconciliation matches delivered orders to expected net payouts, flags missing payments and marks discrepancies. With SKU costs added (from Gold), the P&L dashboard turns the same data into net profit and margin per SKU. Details on returns: Amazon return management.

Listing quality, rank and competitors

Analytics that only show money miss the cause. ListingPilot scores every ASIN 0–100 with the Listing Quality Score (title, bullets, images, A+, pricing and Buy Box, reviews, inventory), tracks BSR per ASIN, and lets you benchmark revenue, sales, LQS, BSR, sub-BSR, rating, reviews, ad spend and returns across your own or peer ASINs. Tables export to CSV, Excel or PDF for finance and agency reporting.

India-specific Amazon analytics

  • State-wise demand. For amazon.in, orders, units and revenue by buyer state on an India map with a ranked table; click a state to see its top products. Full walkthrough: state-wise sales and stock.
  • FBA stock by fulfilment centre. Ending stock, sellable units, in-transit and units shipped by region or FC, so you can see when demand in one state is far from where stock sits.
  • GST-aware profit. The P&L lets you count GST on Amazon fees as an expense or exclude it as recoverable input tax credit, and do the same for the 1% TDS under Section 194-O — the margin changes depending on how your business files.
  • INR throughout. Amounts are shown in rupees for amazon.in and plans are billed in INR.

Go deeper: the analytics modules

Each module below has its own page with the full workflow.

Want the full module list, including listing edits and PPC automation? See the all-in-one Amazon tool overview.

How it works

  1. Connect SP-API. Authorise each marketplace through Amazon’s official OAuth screen. No Seller Central password is shared.
  2. Connect the Amazon Ads API (Ads features start at Gold) so spend and attributed sales can be joined with total sales.
  3. Let the first sync finish. Background jobs pull orders, returns, payments, inventory, catalogue and ads data; the dashboard shows job status so you know when numbers are fresh.
  4. Add SKU costs once so profit and margin reflect your landed cost, then set the GST and TDS toggles to match how you file.
  5. Review weekly: TACoS and organic share per ASIN, return reasons, payouts vs expected, and state-wise demand vs FBA stock.

Amazon seller analytics — frequently asked questions

What is Amazon seller analytics?
Amazon seller analytics is the reporting layer that tells a seller what sold, why it sold, what it cost and what was actually paid out. In practice it means joining sales and traffic from Seller Central (SP-API), ad spend from Amazon Ads, fees and settlements from payment reports, and returns and inventory from FBA reports, so metrics such as TACoS, return rate and net profit are calculated on the same base, per ASIN and per marketplace.
What do Seller Central Business Reports show, and what is missing?
Amazon’s Business Reports include a Sales dashboard (graphs or tables, date and fulfilment-channel filters, comparison with previous periods) and Sales and Traffic reports by date and by parent or child ASIN, with ordered product sales, units, sessions, page views, Featured Offer (Buy Box) percentage, unit session percentage and refund rate. They do not include ad spend, Amazon fees or settlement payouts, so TACoS, organic vs sponsored sales and profit need data from the Ads console and payment reports joined in.
Is Amazon Brand Analytics enough for seller analytics?
Brand Analytics is valuable but answers a different question. It needs a Professional selling account and the Brand Representative role for a brand in Amazon Brand Registry, and gives search and customer-behaviour dashboards such as Search Query Performance, Top Search Terms, Repeat Purchase Behavior, Market Basket Analysis and Demographics (US store only). It does not report ad spend, fees, payouts or profit, so most brands use it alongside a sales, ads and payments dashboard rather than instead of one.
Which metrics does the ListingPilot Amazon seller dashboard show?
Sales, units, orders, AOV and ASP per parent and child ASIN; growth vs the previous period; organic vs sponsored sales and share; ad spend, ad sales, ACOS, ROAS and TACoS; returns, return rate, refunds and return reasons; settlement payouts with expected vs received amounts; net profit and margin with your SKU costs; state-wise orders and FBA stock by fulfilment centre for amazon.in; Listing Quality Score; and BSR trend. Tables export to CSV, Excel or PDF.
Does ListingPilot show sessions and conversion rate?
No. Sessions, page views and unit session percentage come from Amazon’s Business Reports, and ListingPilot does not report them today, so keep using Business Reports (or Brand Analytics Search Catalog Performance) for traffic and conversion. ListingPilot covers the parts Business Reports leave out: ad spend and TACoS, organic vs sponsored sales, returns by reason, settlement payouts, profit and state-wise demand.
How does ListingPilot join SP-API and Amazon Ads data?
You authorise the Selling Partner API (SP-API) and the Amazon Ads API through Amazon’s official OAuth screens; no Seller Central password is shared. Background sync jobs pull orders, returns, payments, inventory and catalogue data from SP-API and campaign spend and attributed sales from the Ads API. Because both land in one workspace per marketplace, TACoS is ad spend ÷ total SP-API sales for the same dates, and organic vs sponsored sales are split from that same total.
What India-specific analytics does ListingPilot have?
For amazon.in: orders, units and revenue by buyer state on an India map; FBA stock by region and fulfilment centre (ending stock, sellable, in-transit); a P&L that lets you count GST on Amazon fees as an expense or treat it as recoverable input tax credit, and the same toggle for 1% TDS under Section 194-O; and all money shown in INR. Plans are billed in INR too.
How much does ListingPilot cost, and is there a free trial?
Current 50% off prices are Silver ₹8,999, Gold ₹11,999 and Diamond ₹16,999 per month (list ₹17,999, ₹24,999 and ₹33,999); the special price is valid for 3 months from signup and quarterly billing saves 10%. Silver includes sales and returns dashboards; Amazon Ads features and P&L start at Gold; Diamond adds advanced sales analytics and up to 7 marketplaces. There is no free trial — open the demo dashboard before you buy.
