Amazon Listing Quality Score — Audit Every ASIN 0 to 100
"Improve your listings" is not an instruction anyone can act on. A number is. The Listing Quality Score reduces every ASIN to a 0-100 figure and, more usefully, tells you which component is costing you the points.
The seven components
- Title (20): length inside the category limit, brand placement, primary keyword present, no promotional language that triggers suppression.
- Bullets (15): five present, benefit-led, within byte limits, readable on mobile.
- Images (15): minimum count, zoom-capable resolution, compliant white-background hero.
- A+ content (15): modules live, comparison chart present, image alt text filled.
- Pricing & Buy Box (15): Buy Box share, price position against the marketplace band.
- Reviews (10): rating stability above 4.2, review velocity, negative sentiment spikes.
- Inventory (10): days of cover, out-of-stock history, stranded units.
Why a single score is worth having
Catalogue work is unbounded — there is always something to improve on every ASIN, so teams improve whatever is in front of them. Sorting by LQS ascending changes that: the twenty worst listings surface first, and those are where a small content fix produces a visible ranking change. It converts listing optimisation from an endless chore into a weekly queue with a finish line.
A score that moves is a warning
The absolute number matters less than its direction. An ASIN dropping from 86 to 74 has had something happen to it — an image removed, a required attribute blanked by a catalogue schema change, a Buy Box lost. As listing audit software, the useful output is not the score itself but the diff: what changed, when, and on which field.
A score falling to zero usually means the listing is gone entirely — see fixing suppressed listings. To act on the content recommendations use the listing optimizer, and to check whether the keywords you fixed are actually ranking, the keyword tracker.
